Explores the personal meaning behind tattoos, their role in empowerment, and how they shape self-expression in and beyond the workplace.​

Examines how women with tattoos navigate workplace perceptions, challenge stereotypes, and stay true to themselves despite bias.

A visual series featuring illustrations paired with real quotes from tattooed women we’ve interviewed.

Chapter 1: Kagat

A client comes in to get a tattoo that she believes outwardly shows her bravery by wearing it on her skin to signify overcoming a traumatic event wherein she was sexually assaulted and was not sided with when she had told her family of what had happened.​

Chapter 2: Kalayaan

Mara after finally getting her dream tattoo, is facing issues with those around her who think she’s made a mistake. In her finding wrong in that, she stands true to herself and lets her performance speak for itself to those who see past her exterior.
